Lactic acid (AHA) is especially suitable for dull, dry, and dehydrated skin. It cleanses the skin of dead cells, allowing newer, smoother, and fresher skin to appear, while also moisturizing it. At higher concentrations (from 10%), it improves skin elasticity, thickness, and has an anti-wrinkle effect. AHA molecules are larger than PHA, so they act on the surface and do not penetrate as deeply, but still provide a good peeling effect. They are also suitable for sensitive skin. A combination of AHA and PHA (or BHA) acids in one product provides a muchmore intense effect.
